increase procedure parameter length

hi this is kavita

I am create a procedure with one input parameter bydefaut parameter lemth is maximum 128 character in sql2000. is there any way to increase parameter length?

Are you talking about name of the parameter or value? For name, 128 seems too long .. you should reduce it. If it is the value, then what data type of column you have? You may want to play around with data types and length specified in the database. If it is restricted to 128 in database, you must have to change that.
