No. You can't use. Sessions are web application specific. In other words, you can use it inside an ASP.Net Web application alone. Session variables are stored in server, normally in IIS.

To Priyaranjan:
If you want use variables that needs throughout the application you can consider to use class variables, instead of "Static" variables. Because static variables are shared among the users. In the sense, if one user changes, then other user also get the changed values. Only one copy of variable is available for all users. So avoid using shared variables also. Instead, you can go with Class variables. :)

Yup Francis . In a multi user environment Static Variables would be a bad idea as its a shared resource . Class Instances are a better option in such scenarios .

Hi Partha ,

Session Management is a Web Page Data Retention mechanism . We cannot use it in WinForms. However we can use Static Variables to accomplish the same . Please refer this link for better understanding .

If a local variable is declared with the Static keyword, its lifetime is longer than the execution time of the procedure in which it is declared. If the procedure is inside a module, the static variable survives as long as your application continues running.
