i want to write a program which shows me the latest posts of a special site or shows posts of specific date,
but i don't know how to start it.

if you want show latest news or any thing else you want, Maximum company are used WCF service. The WCF service are working on every type like a mobile, tablet ,pc and laptop. simple are working wcf service and along with jquery.

Once that has been understood, you need to configure your own application to support this framework. You have not yet specified the framework you're using in your application, so I am not able to help you out any further.
