How to return multiple data tables from SQL function?

Hello

You have used wrong term , it's not "datatable" its only table

It does not matter that what and from where you are returning like :

If you write :

select * from table1

GO

select * from table2

Go

select * from table3

Either from stored procedure or fuction , you will get 3 different table

But you can have "multi-statement table-valued function" (check above link section C)

Execute two SELECT statement

select * from table1

select*from table2

finally, fill() at dataset. you will get two data tables
