How to record video of current screen programmatically?

Is it possible to record screen video of current running windows 8 app from the same app?
I have to record the app's screen video and audio from within the windows 8 app.

Since you want to record the current screen activities, you might be able to do this using a programming toolkit that wraps standard DirectShow functions and save the result to a common media file format (like AVI, MP4, etc.).
I am currently using leadtools toolkit that has screen capturing source. Also, you can save the result to different formats including AVI using this toolkit.
