How to interact a window service using web application

hi,

i have a window service running on client machine and web application hosted on a server.

can i communicate with windows service though client side scripting(jquery or javascript)? if this cannot be done with client side scripting then what other alternative do i have?

Hi Gopaiah,

Thanks for your prompt response, I'm not consuming any WCF service and I have to call a method in windows service, which we don't know what methods were present in the windows service.

Can you send me any sample code, so that i can go through it and if it works it would be great

I think you can't directly call Windows services, Windows services are background service processes run by the Service Control Manager on Windows operating systems.
