How to interact a window service using web application

Hi,

To whom so ever it may concern,

I have a exe file which is installed in end user system, I have to access that exe file from web browser, is there any solution to do it?

I tried the same example, but it doesn't worked with me, and for the answer which was marked doesn't contain any example code to check with that

From aspx file also you can invoke .exe file. Thanks.

Hi Salman,

I don't have any html file, in my application for the requirement it is .aspx file, which has already event and server side code to perform some functionality, in addition to that I have to invoke this windows service.

Hi. Web application should be opened from client machine because exe file is present in the client machine only. The link which I sent you, can you follow it and implement in client machine. Thanks

Hi,

Salman, thanks for your reply, it is not going to work, bascially my requirement is

i have a window service running on client machine and web application hosted on a server.
can i communicate with windows service though client side scripting(JQuery or javascript)? if this cannot be done with client side scripting then what other alternative do i have?
