How to hide the DOM element using Jquery

This should also hide and behave same as you said, request you to use and reply

Here "Shipper Organization ID" is the id of element as for gives the id of element.

I am able to do the this like this -  $("label[for='Shipper Organization ID']").hide();

Thanks Suraj for your response, in my case I need to hide one complete DOM element as shown in the Image and code, So Coyuld you please let me know in my example how do I hide the complete "Checkbox and Organization ID" as shon in my above DOM example.

You can hide element using jquery as shown below 

You can also set opacity 0 to the element to set visibility false or hide the element as shown below.
