hello

suppose you want to get value from Entered text value in view to Controller then write below code.

If you enter your name: Rajesh
View code (Index.cshtml)
"text" name="txtusername" class="form-control" placeholder="Please Enter Name">
Controller code
string name = Request["txtusername"];
now run project and Debug this code. u get your value : Rajesh

I don't know where would you like to use this value. But suppose you want to use this value inside controller.

View Section -

var studName=$('#StudentName').val();

$.ajax({
type: "POST",
url: "/Student/studentName",
data: { 'StudName': studName},

}
},

- using Request[]
- usinf Form[] object
etc ...
