How to get the database name in C# using the connection string,

I used this statement but getting errors, which namespaces should i import to get this?

Can i work on multiple databases(initialcatalog)

try this System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnectionStringBuilder connBuilder = new System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnectionStringBuilder(); connBuilder.ConnectionString = connectionString; string server = connBuilder.DataSource; //-> this gives you the Server name. string database = connBuilder.InitialCatalog; //-> this gives you the Db name.
