How to get column name which having max value in sql server

Is this MAX as in [datatype] with the MAX length or max value from the [data]??

Your question isn't quite detailed enough and is open for misinterpretation. Please provide mode details.

 

You would obviously know the column name while write the query so what is the point of finding out it's name. You already know it. For example:

 

select max([salary]) from [dbo].[tblEmployee]

 

So, in above case, the column name is [Salary]. Simple, isn't it?
