How to fetch data using jquery and send to controller

On a button click i want to get data from 3rd party api and post it to the controller, can it be done within the ajax get or should i save the data to another variable and then sent it to conroller using post?

Hi Ankit,

You can do it using the ajax call using Jquery, In first ajax call you get the data from the 3rd party api and in success of first ajax call nest another ajax post call

Example
$.ajax({
        type: "GET",
        url: "use your third party url",
        data: {"num","1"},//provide the data for the call
        success: function (data) {

            $.ajax({
                type: "post",
                url: " your controller url to post the data ",
                data: data,
                success: function (data) {

                }
            });
        }
    });

From the client side, the application need to get the data from 3rd party api then post it to controller. Or you can update the code to call the 3rd party API from the controller. Here is an example. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/29699884/calling-web-api-from-mvc-controller
