How to Enable/Disable Href link at code behind

Hi.In the login of url you need to maintain a session that it is of type employee or director like Session["loginuser"]="emp/dir"; And in the dashboard page you need to check whether it is employee or director and based on that you can enable or disable the hyperlink like ahref1.disable=true/false. Thanks
