You may use Signer.Digital Browser Extension if you want to sign any type of file, content, pdf, json, xml using Digital Signature Certificate on user's device. Modern browsers does not support ActiveX or Java applet and hence this is one of the best solution to access user's local certificate store or local usb crypto token or smartcard to sign form browser in web application.
