consume web api in asp.net c# with basic authentication

I have tried your code and i think we can write custom authorization filter as follows:

public class CustomBasicAuthAtrribute : AuthorizationFilterAttribute
{

if (actionContext.Request.Headers.Authorization == null)
{
actionContext.Response = new HttpResponseMessage(HttpStatusCode.Unauthorized);
}

string decodedAuthorizationHeaderParam = actionContext.Request.Headers.Authorization.Parameter;
string encodedHeader = Encoding.UTF8.GetString(Convert.FromBase64String(decodedAuthorizationHeaderParam));
var splittedUser = encodedHeader.Split(',');
if (splittedUser.Length == 2)
{
if (splittedUser[0] != "admin" || splittedUser[1] != "admin")
{
actionContext.Response = new HttpResponseMessage(HttpStatusCode.Unauthorized);

actionContext.Response = new HttpResponseMessage(HttpStatusCode.InternalServerError);
}

Again you have to place the attribute on the top of controller as following :

[CustomBasicAuthAtrribute]
public class EmployeeController : ApiController
{
[Route("api/employee/GetEmployeeList")]
public HttpResponseMessage GetEmployeeList()
{
List employeeModelList = new List();
try
{
DBHelper dbHelper = new DBHelper();
employeeModelList = dbHelper.GetEmployee();
}
catch(Exception exception)
{
//Log Exception
}
return Request.CreateResponse(HttpStatusCode.OK, employeeModelList);
}
}

Finally while calling web API through your client you can call as following :

"utf-8" />
"Scripts/jquery-3.3.1.js">
"btnGetEmployee"> GetEmployee
"ulEmployee">
