How to connect SQL Server database to Windows Form Applications.

I am trying to connect to Data Grid View. But It is showing Exception Error to Open Connection. Please Help Me to Create Application. I am uploaded source code to here:

I am using Visual Studio Community 2015.

first open sql server management studio and check whether it is connecting , if it is working then provide same server name and password to your code then check again

Hi Prathamesh,

Thanks for sharing the error capture. There is nothing wrong in your code.

The error shows that the SqlConnection is not able to connect to the SQL Server (.\SQLExpress) specified in the connection string.

So you need to check if SQL Server is installed on your machine or not. If it's installed then you need to check if SQLExpress instance is running or not.

You also can check if you can connect to the ".\SQLExpress" from Server Explorer in Visual Studio.

If nothing is installed on your machine then you need to install SQL Server or SQL Express on it.

I do not see any code which is setting data sourc for data grid view.

There is only one database related code which is inserting data in to table1 on bttnSaveCustomer_Click.

So there is no code related to datagrid view.

Did you try searching google about how to bind datagrid to the data from SQL? Did you try any of the solution provided in google search?

Sorry Prathamesh, but I think you are expecting a ready-made code provided to you by the developers here. Developers here will not provide you ready made solution.

We can help you if you are getting error in the code you have written or improving your existing code.
