How to checks if two strings have the same letter pattern

“ABAB”, “DEDE” has the same pattern. “FFGG”, “CDCD”. Does not have the same pattern.

Try this below code for sample.

string thirdStr = "MMKK";
string[] names = { x, secondStr, thirdStr };
foreach (string value in names)
{
List a = new List();
for (int i = 0; i < value.Length; i += 2)
{
if ((i + 2) < value.Length)
a.Add(value.Substring(i, 2));
else
a.Add(value.Substring(i));
}
string st1 = a[0].ToString();
string st2 = a[1].ToString();
if (st1 == st2)
{
count = count + 1;
}
else
{
cnt = cnt + 1;
}
}
Response.Write("Is " + count + " Strings has the same pattern letters:" + count);

you can implement a custom method to check if they had the same pattern letters, this is a sample when i transform string to number after that i check if the numbers are equals or not :
class Program
    {
        static void Main(string[] args)
        {
            string firstStr = "ABAB";
            string secondStr = "CDCD";
            string thirdStr = "MMKK";
            Console.WriteLine("Is two Strings has the same pattern letters :" +  (GetTransform(secondStr) == GetTransform(firstStr)));
            Console.WriteLine("Is two Strings has the same pattern letters :" + (GetTransform(secondStr) == GetTransform(thirdStr)));
        }

        static int GetTransform(string str)
        {
            string result = string.Empty;
            Dictionary<char, int> dic = new Dictionary<char, int>();
            for (int i = 0; i < str.Length; i++)
            {
                if (!dic.ContainsKey(str[i]))
                {
                    dic.Add(str[i], i + 1);
                    result += (i + 1);
                }
                else
                {
