I noticed, job migration is a big thing in INDIA, in compare to USA. In US, people try to stick with a company for a while.
So here is the question.
How long have you been working on your current job?

Reasons are:
If we compare with US, lot of companies in India are not working on latest technologies.(at least framework wise).
Some people wants to relocate to new places. so that they can get some global exposure.
At the end of the day salary package also matters.
these are the points forcing me to looking for a job change.

Work load is more. But there are other reason also.
I just changed my job after servicing 4years. There my manager is working from last 11 years. So changing job is depends upon the individual comfort, requirement and attitude/tendency. I have seen many peoples start looking for a new job within a month they joined any company. This is the thrust for money & position.
Sometimes new join persons get handsome salary than existing one. Though knowledge level is not higher than existing. In addition present staff is familiar with company system, technology etc. They think to change! I have seen many HRs asking questions in interviews " How will you feel/react if your junior get promoted at your senior level or in terms of salary? "
Off-course politics is also making a role in job changing. Sometimes at higher level is willing to get his near-n-dears.

In my perspective, US work culture differs from Indian work culture.
Just correct me if I am wrong. US People stick to time. 8 hours of work means thats it.
But In most of the Indian companies, people has to work more than 10 hours per day irrespective of normal 8 hours. This culture is still followed in most of the companies. Work pressure is more here. So people migrate from one job to other job within 2 to 3 years.
There are other factors like Politics in the team, Employee benefits, Salary package.
There are People who stays more than 9 years. My current manager is continuing his 9th year in the same company. He loves our product that much.
It depends on Individuals also.
