How can I read Excel file using JavaScript?

Web browsers on their own do not support viewing Excel files. If you want to display Excel files in a browser, you will need server-side code to render the pages, in addition to the JS code to display the rendered document. One way to do that is to use the Document Viewer SDK that's part of the LEADTOOLS Document Imaging toolkit. The SDK contains both JavaScript controls for use with the browser-side display, and services that run at the server side to handle different types of documents, like Excel, PDF and others.

Do you mean in browser? From the disk of the user?

If yes and yes, no you cannot do that due to security reason.

If not the above scenario, please provide more details.
