how can I call a microservices from my controller?

hi, i am new to microservice and api and i am doing in.net core 5.0.I have doubt while i am designing my microservices please clarify and correct me...

1.I have a home controler having a post methode with some input.this methode url i am giving in postman for testing.i need to call 2 microservices and and i have to merge that result using json.

my confusion coming now

i have created a seperate controller named mymicroservices .inside i have to write it.? and how can i access that methode with url from my home cntrlr..

please help me

You can use httpclient to communicate with the microservices. You will have to use DTO to do this. Please refer https://www.hosting.work/aspnet-core-microservices-synchronous-communication/

i am planning to create a main api having a merged json result from api methodes inside mymicroservises.suppose there are number of apis in that.

i am calling home controller and a methode is there in home controller named getmainAPI(i/p) from postman .

you are definitely in a wrong track , otherwise you will never need to call a controller method inside another controller .
Instead create a class library and put your logic there like Services and call any service from any controller.

but i have a getdetails methode in my main home controller having url like getdetails (get/details/getall)
from this methode i have to call another 2 apis with url and i have to merge those 2 here.I have to use like this any idea

suppose you have following methods under your mymicroservices controller
- PostEmployee
- GetEmployee
- PutEmployee
- DeleteEmployee
then you can call them from postman with the same url being http://localhost:portNo/mymicroservices
if your method type is selected as post in postman then it will call PostEmployee method similarly if method type is selected as Get then it will call GetEmployee method.
so http verb decides which method to call the url will be same withoud any method name untill you use attribute routing.
