hide previous open forms in windows application

Hello;

I need to hide all forms ehich are open when I open particular new form.

Ex: Suppose form A,B,C are open. And when I want to open form D, all other open forms (A,B,C) will be hide.

I tries this code when open new form (on form load event):

AlcoholDetails alc = new AlcoholDetails();

AlcoholTestingRecord alTst = new AlcoholTestingRecord();

alc .Hide();

alTst .Hide();

But Its not working.

If MDI Parent Try this,
//hide all
foreach(Form frm in this.MdiChildren)
{
    frm.Hide();
}
//show new
newForm frm = new newForm();
frm.Show();
If not MDI Try This,
//hide
foreach (Form frm in Application.OpenForms)
{
    if (frm.Name != this.Name)
        frm.Hide();
}

//show new
bool isFormInMemory = false;
foreach (Form frm in Application.OpenForms)
{
    if (frm.Name == "newForm")
    {
        isFormInMemory = true;
        frm.Show();
        break;
    }
}

if(!isFormInMemory)
{
    newForm frm = new newForm();
    frm.Show();
}

Thanks for your responses. But this is not my need. Actually I create menu bar using MDI Parent. So when I click on any menu. It opens on it. I need when I click on another menu on "MDI parent", previous open form should be hide.

I tries this code on MDI Parent:

Form1 frmChild = new Form1();
AlcoholTestingRecord al = new AlcoholTestingRecord();
al.Hide();

frmChild.MdiParent = this;
frmChild.Show();

But form does not hide. ANd 2nd form shows above 1st form.

Consider you already have a button on the current form (Form1) and need to show another form (Form2) once the button is clicked, meanwhile, you need to hide the current form

so in your current form, at button click event,
this.Hide();
Form2 f2= new Form2();
f2.Show();

AlcoholTestingRecord alTst = new AlcoholTestingRecord();

alc.Show();
this.Hide(); if you are in AlcoholTestingRecord form.

you can hide form before calling other form like
if you are in AlcoholDetails form and you wanted to call AlcoholTestingRecord then

in AlcoholDetails form button click you can write

this.Hide();
AlcoholTestingRecord alTst = new AlcoholTestingRecord();
alc .Show();
