is there possibility to learn C# programming yourself(with books/forums/practical works ) , without university and to stay good programmer and to work in any company as programmer.

Hi,

Yes. You can...If you have passion and enthusiastic to learn then you are the university. If you are self motivated person then you can do hard work by working samples and do lot more practice.

But some body will have good programming knowledge and they may not have the enough educational qualification. Some body have enough educational qualification and they are not capable of doing programming stuff. As per the company, they have standards and policies. Some body should have the minimum qualification to qualify for the interviews. Then your turn comes to prove your programming and analytical ability.

What i want to suggest you is, if you have not enough educational qualification then you can do the certification which will allow you to enter in the industry. If not then you can do the course in the correspondance and consistently improve your skills by books, forums, developers community, e-learning.

There are number of good web sites like www.asp.net, c-sharpconer will guide you to learn and do programming. You can share your knowledge and gain the knowledge from the others.

If you have the ability and present yourself well, then it's possible provided you can get to the interview stage.

However, a problem nowadays is that most employers expect good 'paper' qualifications, at least a first degree, and they may use that to filter the applicants for a job before deciding who to interview.

It might therefore be difficult to get to 'first base' if you don't have a degree.

One thing that might help is to join a computing club in your area and get to know other programmers who might be able to put a good word in for you if there's a vacancy at their employer.
