how tu set database location in CYSTALREPORTS, so that it sould not fix database path..user should sllow tu choose database on runtime.. i have tried by seting the crystall report database connection path in "project data" of database expert and then setting connection path in my c-sharp program.. i choose dataset1 of my poject. after it ,it give me 2 option either to chooose data from "visual studio dataclass" or tu use xml file i tried both cases for "visual studio dataclass" option it displays my error msg sying logon failed details:file or assembly name CrystalDescions.VSDesigner, or one of its dependcies not found... for xml file path i set path of dataset1 xml file of my project it doesn't give me any error but it also doesn't show any data in report........plz help is urgently recquired

I passed by such problem... I wanted to use a report ... and the database connection string of the repot was so strict and i could not change it ... so I used a Dataset.xsd file ... I 've defined a stored procedures ... in the database MS and linked it with the dateset.xsd file ... then I linked the dataset with my report ... so i didn't need to spacify any db connection from inside the report because the connection has defined outside in the c# project... I hope that this may help you... Feras....
