Getting a directory listing from a web site

if u don't have starting document it will show u directory listing but u have to check the right from the IIS(Directory Browsing) check the IIS for directory browsing and delete all the documents from the document tab.

I ended up doing just what Wernda said..writing a web service that returned a struct that was similar to the FileInfo class (as the FileInfo class itself is not serializable)

Yeah, HTTP doesn't know functionality DIRLIST. Only if a directory doesn't contain any default index file, most servers will show directory listing (if not denied).

you could put asp.net file there that returns list of files, or create webserivice on the server that given directory, will list files.
