failed to update database because the database is read-only

yes it's access with my main database and it's a copy of that with my deployed project and its showing read only. after intallation my database is copied and resides in c drive program folder where my project files available see in this image. this mdf file is showing read only. 

 

connection is : 

 

1/ Are you been able to perform read / write operations from SQL Server Management studio?

 

2/ Please show your connection string.

 

3/ How did you deploy the application? Was there any read only media such as CD was involved in the process?

 

4/ Have you right click on the physical .mdf / .ldf files and have confirmed that the files themselves are not read only flag set?

 

Please answer ALL the questions above.

my problem is i completed one of my project and dployed it and after installation every thing is working properly it 's fetch record from database but i am getting this error when i am inserting record to database by user form. "error is : failed to update database project.msf beacause the database is read-only".

Just mentioning "my problem is not solved" isn't quite helpful for us. Please give detailed description. Please provide the the few lines of code where the error is being shown. Please post the screen shot of the error messages displayed. Also post the complete stack trace of the error.

 

It is only then that we know what exactly are you attempting to do. To tell you the truth, i don't even trust the error description unless I see the screen shot.

 

You should also show / confirm that the solution provided so far have already been rectified.

Hi, Update the database permission. i.e. Mark database “yourDataBaseName” as read-write. We can simply do it using next T-SQL Commands,

 

USE master

GO ALTER DATABASE "YourDataBaseName"

SET READ_WRITE WITH NO_WAIT

GO

 

Execute this query in a window. Then try it.

The error is very self explanatory.
