Facebook is not interested in Twitter

I did not see this in July. If the Social Networking threads are not shown with the other threads then that explains why; otherwise I must have been busy at the time.

As for the news about Facebook and Twitter, the question is if Zuckerberg is interested in the Twitter technology. Twitter sounds very simple to me; something that could easily be created from scratch. So probably the only advantage to purchasing Twitter is the name, and Zuckerberg already has a very well-recognized name. So I don't see any advantage for Zuckerberg to purchase Twitter.

We don't know why Zuckerberg did not react to jokes. The question is if that has any relevance to his descision not to purchase Twitter. It is possible that Zuckerberg also had a sense of humor and others did not. His reply "yes" to the question in that article seems to be a sense of humor to me. It is totally likely that Zuckerberg just wanted to get down to business and when he declined to purchase Twitter, the Twitter people are "sore losers" that used the seriousness of Zuckerberg to be critical.

Years ago in a time most have forgotten, Microsoft and IBM had an agreement to develop OS/2. Microsoft declined to cooperate and later developed Windows NT. The point of that is that Microsoft chose to develop the technology themselves instead of cooperating with IBM. Zuckerberg can do something similar to develop something like Twitter if he wants to, and for much less money.

Lana, you may have got penalty points for writing word "Facebook" on C# forum :) That might not be the bug in the system but rather a feature.

However, Admins, you might code an exception for Lana... Just this time.
