External Javascript function

I have already posted my question. When I call the function [which is in an external js page] from another page to refresh the treednode which is in my default page, it is not refreshing.
i.d. The treenode which was clicked to open a page in an Iframe is highlighted. When I close the Iframe page and come back to Default page I want deselect the node which was clicked. 
This is not happening.
