Explain Multithreading with real time example

As far as Google and Bing there, no problem for sample projects :). I am here to address use case. 

 

1st to differentiate between Program,Process and Thread. If you have C# exe running, that entire exe scope can call a Program which has many Processes in it and each Process has multiple Threads in it. Threads can think of small set of executable instructions inside a Process.So Threads can be used to isolate small set of executable instructions from a Process and also to run them parallel.

 

Real time example - "MS Word ->Create new Document" is a Process and it has many Threads in it. Two of those Threads are type the words and spell check, each of these Threads have their own set of executable instructions. If you are typing a paragraph on MS word, in background one more Thread running and checking your spelling mistakes. As soon as you do a typo the other Thread notifies you about the typo. This is a multi thread operation.
