Based on you application design, you need to go with one of them.
Database First: Start with a Database
Model First: Start with a Visual Model Design
Code First: Start with Code
If you want to Design your DB visually and you have your DB ready, then go for DB First.
If you want to Design your DB visually and you dont have your DB ready, then go for Model First.
If you dont want to Design your DB visually [Developer], then go for Code First
