• Not only respect but also be honest with your work and responsibilities.
  
• You should also give up your 100% to help it grow
• If you're unhappy with your work and responsibilities, discuss it with the responsible person
• Do not burn the bridges. Even you leave the job, still be friendly with your coworkers and boss.
• Prove your employer that you're an asset to the company.
• Don't get into "Chicken first or Egg first" dilemma. Some employees don't focus on work because they are unhappy with their salaries or whatever else.
• If you're not happy at your work, find something else where you are happy.

If your objective is to grow up to the upper level in your organization, you need to create a higher visiblity on your side to showcase yourself. It might be providing solutions for their problems and putting your innovative and creative thinking toward the organization growth.
 
If you dont want to stay in a company not more that two years, then there can be normal relationshiop with your employer.
