drawing animation

I would like to draw a circle and move it smoothly across the panel - sort of like a puck on the air hockey game. For my first try, I drew the circle, drew over it in the background color, then I drew again in its new location. It is not very smooth. Is there a mechanism for this animation already set up.

try to use double buffering method it may work, also show that part of the code so we can test it and give u the best way to do it

Ya , You can achive this, Using Threading + Paint method like Java Applet.
