New row is filtered-out from DataView. To avoid it, assign proper values for DataView key fields by column DefaultValue or add dummy field into DataTable with DefaultValue='something' and modify RowFilter expression to " ... OR dummy='something' ... ". After save set dummy="something else"

Good morning! I think I need to be more specific with my issue. What are the steps involved with adding a new row to a DataTable through a DataGrid bound to a filtered DataView? Does the fact that the DataView is filtered break the two way street between the DataGrid and the DataTable? In my case, the DataView is filtered based on an integer Trans_ID which is which is picked by the user from a combobox on the same form as the grid. The grid displays line details for the Trans_ID (just a parent-child relationship but I don't want to use a DataRelation here). When the user clicks in the grid's new row, I will supply the Trans_ID for the new row, based on the selection in the combobox, in code. I am not sure where to do this, DatRowView or DataTable.Row?
