Hi Try This:
DateTime fromDate = DateTime.Parse("2017-05-16");
DateTime toDate = DateTime.Parse("2019-08-02");
var dateSpan = DateTimeSpan.CompareDates(fromDate, toDate);
Console.WriteLine(dateSpan.Years + "Years " + dateSpan.Months + " Months");

DateTime fromDate = DateTime.Parse("2017-05-16");
DateTime toDate = DateTime.Parse("2019-08-02");
TimeSpan timeSpan = toDate.Subtract(fromDate);
var totalDays = timeSpan.TotalDays;
var totalYears = Math.Truncate(totalDays / 365);
var totalMonths = Math.Truncate((totalDays % 365) / 30);
var remainingDays = Math.Truncate((totalDays % 365) % 30);
Console.WriteLine(totalYears + " Years " + totalMonths + " Months " + remainingDays + " Days.");

You need to review your answer it should be at least 2 Years and 2 Months. You can try this code to get difference between two date.
DateTime dtCurrent = Convert.ToDateTime("2019-08-02");
DateTime dtDOB = Convert.ToDateTime("2017-05-16");
TimeSpan timeSpan = dtCurrent - dtDOB;
DateTime age = DateTime.MinValue + timeSpan;
int years = age.Year - 1;
int months = age.Month - 1;
int days = age.Day - 1;

string dateDifference = (years.ToString() + " Year/s " + months.ToString() + " Month/s " + days.ToString() + " Day/s");

Use time span and check the year and month difference in the date that you have provided in the question.
