Difference between web api and rest api in asp.net

It is just an architectural concept. Not a framework either.

 

It in an open source framework for writing HTTP APIs. These APIs can be RESTful or not. Most HTTP APIs we write are not RESTful. This framework implements HTTP protocol specification and hence you concepts like URIs, request/response headers, caching, versioning, various content formats in it.

Web API is an platform for building RESTful services. REST is a protocol i.e., Representational state transfer protocol
