few differences between Trigger and stored procedure -
We can execute a stored procedure with the help of the exec command, but a trigger can only be executed whenever an event (insert, delete, and update) is fired on the table on which the trigger is defined.
It is possible to call a stored procedure from another stored procedure but we can't directly call another trigger within a trigger.
Stored procedures can be scheduled through a job, but we can't schedule a trigger.
Stored procedure can take input parameters, but can't pass parameters as input to a trigger.
Stored procedures can return values but a trigger cannot return a value.
We can use Print commands inside a stored procedure for debugging purposes but we can't use print commands inside a trigger.
We can call a stored procedure from the front end (.asp files, .aspx files, .ascx files, etc.) but we can't call a trigger from these files.

1. A Stored procedure is a group of SQL statements that is compiled one time, and then can be executed many times when required.
A Trigger is a database object that is implicitly fired when a triggering event occurs while insert data, update data and delete data in a table.
2. A Stored procedure can be called from inside another stored procedure.
But a Trigger cannot be directly called from within a trigger.

3. A Stored procedure can be called from the front-end files aspx.cs, ascx.cs using ado .Net.
But one cannot call a Trigger from these files. One can pass parameters to a Stored procedure. But we can’t pass them to a Trigger.

4. A Stored procedure can return values.
But Triggers can’t return a value.

5. A Stored procedure is called directly by a user.
Whereas, a Trigger is not called directly by a user.

6. A Store procedure is used to performing task.
A Trigger is used for Auditing.

7. We can use transaction in Store procedure.
We can’t use transition in trigger.

8. Syntax
Store Procedure:
CREATEPROCEDURE procedure_name

AS

Begin

    Select column1, column2 from TableName;

End

GO;
Trigger :
CREATETRIGGER triggerName ON [dbo].[TableName]

FOR INSERTAS

   ---insert statement

   --- Message you want to print
