Asp.net is the platform to design controls,forms which are required to take input from user or to show output to user, and C# is the programming language which provides the functionality to asp.net controls and forms to work properly as per your requirement

According to me the major difference in asp.net and C# is that ASP.Net is the technology to develop web application and C# is the language like when you use HTML to develop web application normally you use javascript or vb script. In asp.net as a scripting language we use C# or can say server side language.
