Devops or developement

I am working on asp.net core projects. In our company dev ops is taken care by dev ops team so we have no access to azure. I have learnt azure az204 but still we don't have practical exposure. All we do is docker images. I would like to see is the same goes to other companies too. Don't we really need not to know azure. ?

It depends on company to company. Some senior developers in companies also involved in DevOps. DevOps is usually managed by non developers. It is more about code repos are maintained, deployed, and supported. For smaller companies, I've seen senior developers doing all of this.

I am senior Dev 10+, looking for a job change in top CMM level companies. So learnt azure for dev alone. Should I learn dev ops mandatory just because I am a senior Dev.

AZ-204 is certification related to developing solutions for Microsoft Azure and will enhance and help you to develop solution in Azure.
DevOps is the combination of cultural philosophies, practices, and tools that increases an organization's ability to deliver applications and services at high velocity: evolving and improving products at a faster pace than organizations using traditional software development and infrastructure management processes.

This is not the case with each company, there is no loss in Learning DevOps and Azure in general.
Most companies uses Azure DevOps repository and Git for development.
Azure Borads for Project Management (Tasks etc) and CI/CD pipeline for Deployment.

Also, Azure is an Ocean and not limited to DevOps, Azure services are better than any other hosting privder.
If you are familiar with AWS, then you would love Azure too.
When everything has moved to cloud, Learning Azure is a big plus. Web Development is adapting microservice architecture and for this adding azure in your skill set will be a big plus.
