Date Change in SP Online DatePicker

I have customised the newform for inserting list items to a sharepoint list. When i select a date from the date picker and click "Save" the date stored in the list is getting subtracted by 1. How can i set it to default(out of box) way wherein the date should be the same as it is selected from the UI. Please help..
