1. Connect to your database instance through Management Studio.
2. Right-click on the "Databases" node.
3. Select "Restore Database".
4. Enter a database name in "To Database"
5. Click on "From Device" and "Add". Browse out and select your .BAK file.
6. Select the "Options" section. If the database name you specified does not exist on the server, there is no need to check "overwrite existing". IMPORTANT: Make sure the "Restore as" file paths reference valid directories on your system.
7. Click on "OK" and SQL Server will work on restoring your database.
Keep in mind:- you will face problem if restore DB from higher version to lower.
