database load,tempdb size increase.

hi this is kavita I have a website www.tendernews.com, there is one problem.that tempdb file are not closing. plus Whenever user search some data and load is high system hang. can any body help me to optimize database. currently I m using sql server2000 and ASP. is it a ASP problem? please help!!

You can actually use stored procedure instead of, if you are using, inline sql statement. this will improve your searching fast.. and create index for the tables from which you are fetching data..

i did not get that the tempdb is not closed.. this is the one which you created or the system table.
