Unfortunately, I don't know much about MySQL Workbench edition.

In any case when you are saying Server IP, I am almost certain a machine in a local network and not the one on hosted environment. I am assuming this because you are saying simple application. Please clarify.

If that is the case, you will need to install MySQL per client (means your customer). Please note that this is just one scenario.

Just out of curiosity, why not use Microsoft SQL Express? It is absolutely free and can be used for production purposes and can be redistributed without any licensing requirement. Think about it.

For simple apps you also have an option of Microsoft SQL Server LocalDB which comes as an installer.

my application is dekstop application written in c# for medical use ( add a patient , his illness , his medecin ect ) (very basic and simple )

we have two users , doctor and nurse , myy app will display to the nurse what the docotor will insert ( very basic)

if i use mysql databse ( using mysql workbench ), the databse url will contain the server ip adress , but i want to cell this software , so how can i make the databse integrate with my software

it's my first time doing a pro software and i dont know how .

Here is my reply from whatever I understood, so might be wrong.

If you are writing a web-based application, you obviously don't have to install MySQL server on every computer. It will only somewhere on network from where your web-app can access it. It can even be on cloud.

If you are writing a desktop based application you can have WebAPI written which will interact with db and your desktop app will only call WebAPI. In this case also you will have one MySQL server.

However, if you are hosting several clients on such environment, your app should make sure that one client doesn't see other clients data.
