Create a procedure to insert values from a single table

I have two tables in database with same field name but different databse name.

I want to insert values intot able using selected database.How can we perform??

I have to perform both update and delete function.

Hi. Whether you do any kind of operations but if you are using multiple databases then first of all you need to use [database name].dbo.table/procedure. For example:- select * from [Test].dbo.t_error Thanks

Hi,
Use below Procedure :
CREATE PROC [dbo].[procCopyMyData]
AS
BEGIN
   INSERT INTO [DatabaseNameNew].[dbo].[tableNew] (Field1,Field2,Field3,Field4)
   SELECT Field1,Field2,Field3,Field4 FROM [DatabaseNameOld].[dbo].[tableOld]
END

insert into db1.dbo.emp(id,name)
select id,name from db2.dbo.emp

update e1 set e1.name=e2.name from db1.dbo.emp e1 inner join db2.dbo.emp e2

Hi,

Use the update statement as follows
update s
set s.name = d.name
from sourcedb.dbo.tablename s
inner join destdb.dbo.tablename d
where s.id = d.id
Use the below DELETE statement
DELETE Source_Table1 FROM Source_Table1 INNER JOIN Source_Table2
ON Source_Table1.ID = Source_Table2.ID

You can insert data by using
insert into t2(id,name,city)
select id,name,city from DBNAE.dbo.t1
t1 table is in another database and t2 is another dataabse
Now you can perform Update and delete in your Table

INSERT INTO dbo.mytable1
(
column1
,column2
,column3
,column4
)
SELECT column1
,column2
,column3
,column4
FROM [mydb2].dbo.mytable2
