Connect desktop app with web app in C#

I need to access database(e.g. login) from a asp.net web application through a windows form application.how can i do this? help me please.

Here is the link to connect the SQL Database from windows application using c# code "http://csharp.net-informations.com/data-providers/csharp-sql-server-connection.htm". Also you have codes for connecting Database from web application "http://csharp.net-informations.com/data-providers/csharp-ado.net-connection.htm". Your scenario is common in the application development. For database you can have different server, so that it will not affect the performance of the web application.

Thanks for your valuable answer.Actually i want to access the same database for asp.net web application and windows application.So that the users can log in with the same data for both application.In this scenario,where the database should be stored and how to connect?

if you need to execute a windows application from the ASP.NET web application this link "http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15406684/calling-windows-application-from-web-application" will help you.
But i have few doubts like:
1. Why the authorization of the user is not done in ASP.NET web application itself?
2. Why the windows application has to authorize the user before connecting to the database?
3. Where does the Database reside?
4. In this scenario we need to install the windows application in all user desktops. Is that fine?
5. If you are going to access the same Database which the ASP.NET web application is using, then you can directly connect the Database from Windows Application from your desktop (with authorization).

Suppose i have an ASP.NET application hosted on server.Also suppose i have a desktop application on my computer.I want to implement a login system in my desktop app with the data from that ASP.NET Database.How?

Would like to understand whether you want to connect to access database from an ASP.NET web application? If yes then what is the role of Windows Form?
ASP.NET ==> Windows Form ==> Access DB
If you want to connect as shown above, would like to know the role of Windows Form.
