My personal opinion is that it doesn't matter if you are B.Sc or B.Com, that bullet-point in your resume is one of the least interesting ones. I believe more value is provided with a bullet-points that say with which technologies you worked before in your personal or work related projects. Also on an interview I would ask the same questions to B.Sc and B.Com candidate, actually when I thing about it I would probably do the same with someone that has a fresh masters degree.

Now regarding your question, of course you can. You shouldn't concern yourself with that. What you should focus more is first obtaining the knowledge that makes you hireable, so practice with some personal projects. Then you can write the skills you have in your resume and you can provide the evidence (the source code) for your claims. You can also practice with some programming aptitude tests, these will also provide some insight into a daily tasks that you would do as a developer. And last if you are still concern with a degree then you could acquire some certificates as a boost up, for example you can try obtaining these free programming certificates.

If you are interested in Software Development...I would suggest you to do a MCA (Masters in Computer Application) degree (3yrs duration).

But... If you are interested in some other field.... then go in that..

Just do a job in which you are interested and then work hard in it.... Don't do anything forcefully...

Then you will succeed and your time also will not be wasted... there will be no regretions ....
