1st of all decide the technology,in which technology you want to start  your carrer. Most of the fresher what do ,they do gather the information about multiple technology  so they don't have the good knowledge of any technology. Thats the main reason for freshers's found job in many days. 

Choose the technology first as per your interest or do deep  discuss with your senior related to technology. And start your preparation on that technology .

Strong knowledge of one technology is much better than little knowledge on multiple technology.

Hard work and keep learning. Learning never stops no matter what.
Hang out on communities like this and learn more. Read more book. Do lot of coding . It's all about hard work.

I would say try to do your own little project- Something that is interesting to you. And get a good book that you can refer to if needed. Once you get about an year to year an half coding experience, get the certification in the relevant skill..

Best way to develop skills is to solve maximum problems that are faced and if you want to learn quickly just be active on forums and try to find answers to maximum questions.
