Why is that not working? error CS0029: Cannot implicitly convert type"System.Tuple" to "(string, string, string)"

(a,b,c) notation is for a ValueTuple<..> not a Tuple<..>

try ValueTuple.Create, ValueTuple is a value-type (struct), Tuple is a reference-type (class)

Try this
Tuple<string, string, string> tuple = strings.Length >= 3 ? Tuple.Create(strings[0], strings[1], strings[2]) :
strings.Length == 2 ? Tuple.Create(strings[0], strings[1], "") : Tuple.Create(strings[0], "", "");
