Cannot Add COM objects in C# & Windows 7

Howdy folks, writing a program in C# 3.5 and for some reason, it doesn't allow me to add COM objects as references in Windows 7 Home Edition. The same COM's can be added easily in XP version. I tried using regasm, regsrv32, gacutil and none of these worked. Please advise!
