How to calculate total time in c# .

for e.g .A user sleep 10:47AM and user GetUp 11:00AM

How to calculate total Difference Time means 13 min .and 1 hour ,10 sec

Hi Sourabh,

Below is one of the possible solution.
DateTime sleepTime = new DateTime(2020, 10, 14, 10, 47, 30);
DateTime wokeupTime = new DateTime(2020, 10, 14, 11, 0, 0);

TimeSpan diff = wokeupTime.Subtract(sleepTime);
int hour = diff.Hours;
int min = diff.Minutes;
int sec = diff.Seconds;
Try it out!

You can directly do minus operation, provided both sleep & get up time properties are of type date time.

Ex:-

TimeSpan diff = dateTimeGetUpTime - dateTimeSleepTime;

please try this code:
DateTime a = new DateTime(2010, 05, 12, 13, 15, 00);
DateTime b = new DateTime(2010, 05, 12, 13, 45, 00);
Console.WriteLine(b.Subtract(a).TotalMinutes);
