calling a windows component from a separate class

You can pass a reference of the object to a method in the separate class (using ref keyword). That allows you to directly modify the object's properties.

hi, i understood what you mean by using the following. private System.Windows.Forms.TextBox txtPassword; public System.Windows.Forms.TextBox TxtPassword { get{return txtPassword;} //read property set{txtPassword = value;} //write property } however, i cannot use this public property when i'm coding in my separate class. in order for me to access this property, i need to refer to an object out of the windows class, and this object was already created/instantiated when i run my windows application, by the following commmand. Application.Run(new MainForm()); i can't possibly create another new instance of the windows class whenever i need to access my UI components. anyway, it didn't work even if i create another instance of the windows class. i would greatly appreciate any suggestions to overcome my problem, as i've been stuck with this for a week or so already, and i can't progress any further if i can't solve this. thanks in advance! regards.

you can also add the System.Windows.Forms; namespace

create a public property where are accessing those components. for example private System.Windows.Forms.TextBox txtPassword; public System.Windows.Forms.TextBox TxtPassword { get { return txtPassword; //read property } set { txtPassword = value; //write property } } hope this will help u
