You can find by using IndexOf and Substring

string str = "R Trigger:{b097c690-3dfc-4da7-9bdd-293f508ed9d3}:5";

int indexEnd = str.IndexOf(":5");

Console.WriteLine(str.Substring(0, indexEnd));

You can use RegularExpressions to acheive this.

string input = "R Trigger:{b097c690-3dfc-4da7-9bdd-293f508ed9d3}:5";
System.Text.RegularExpressions.Regex regex = new System.Text.RegularExpressions.Regex(".*?{.*?}");
System.Text.RegularExpressions.MatchCollection matches = regex.Matches(input);
foreach (System.Text.RegularExpressions.Match match in matches)
{
Console.WriteLine(match);
}

Try this

string subStr=str.Substring(0, str.length -1);
